Elk Lake Custom Home

Perspective exterior shot: Elk Lake Asian Inspired Bungalow - by Mapleridge Construction

Mag 2To us, at Mapleridge Construction, nothing is more satisfying than a happy client in a lovely home.  With gratitude to Michigan Home and Lifestyle Magazine for their recent article, we were able to showcase one of our most recent custom home/client success stories.

This particular collaboration, formed by Design Strategies, Joseph Mosey Architecture and Design Classics, resulted in a beautiful Asian bungalow which combines Eastern culture and unique artistic elements.  Built in Elk Rapids with a stunning view of Elk Lake, the custom gazebo, which features a full masonry fire place, creates an engaging outdoor living space.

On the home, the exterior details include Montana Moss Rock, copper roof accents; slate roofing and cedar shake siding.  Once inside, this custom home is both warm and luxurious from the moment you step in to the stone wood tile floors. With an interior that includes choices of cherry and zebra wood cabinets, a granite farmhouse sink and a copper/zinc range hood the Asian influence moves from the outside in, creating an authentic feel throughout the entire property.

Getting the design and details to work together throughout this house tested us in new and exciting ways, resulting in a product which will be both home and haven for a very content client.  We’d welcome the opportunity to assist you in creating your dream home up north. Let our standards for quality, commitment to budget and custom design experiences ensure your homebuilding success story this year!
